Sometimes it is hard to imagine how a new kitchen should look, how the surfaces will feel, how the countertops will fit around the sink, or how the island unit can be integrated into the overall design. The Franke showroom in Aarburg, Switzerland helps customers picture all this by giving them a peek inside a whole range of kitchens that are sure to inspire.
1,000 square meters of complete kitchen systems
The revamped showroom opened at the end of August 2017, following extensive remodeling. Occupying 1,000 square meters of a beautifully lit, bright space, the showroom features a selection of Franke products for the dream kitchen. A number of complete kitchen systems are on display, with designs ranging from the functional to the innovative. But the showroom offers much more, as Massimo Vismara, Head of Global Marketing Strategy at Franke Group, explains: “Many of our customers know about just one part of our business. The showroom demonstrates just how extensive our product portfolio really is.” In addition to Franke Kitchen systems, the showroom also features products by Franke Coffee Systems, Franke Water Systems, KWC and Faber.
Showroom designed by star architect Carlo Colombo
The showroom has been transformed by the renowned Italian architect Carlo Colombo, who has developed a group-wide showroom concept for Franke. Carlo Colombo is one of Italy’s most famous architects and designers and a prominent figure internationally, who is widely hailed as a star of contemporary design. His career includes numerous collaborations with top designer brands as well as large-scale architectural projects. Colombo has received many awards and prestigious prizes worldwide. His multifaceted projects all bear the hallmark of his unique, iconic style. He avoids the superfluous, preferring the purity of clean lines and formal abstraction.
Going beyond simple product display to create a lasting impression
Emotion and warmth play an important role in the showroom. “With this new concept, we want to create an enjoyable customer experience and leave a lasting impression – not just provide a mere product display,” says Massimo Vismara. The showroom also reflects the new Franke Kitchen Systems strategy: “In the past, this business division mainly presented sinks and faucets. Now, our focus is on kitchen systems.”
